How to Set Intentions

1. Be Direct.

Simple and direct is the best when it comes to setting intentions. Work with properties of the spelled magical item or service that you have, be it an oil, charm bag, candle, spell, etc. For example, if you have an oil like Siren or Nymph, which you want to use to attract a certain someone, you can simply set the intention like this: “I want to attract the attention of “so-and-so” and I want this oil to help keep their attention on me”.

2. Set Realistic Goals

Set goals that are not hard to reach. For example, if you have an oil that helps with abundance, setting a goal to “Get 10k in sales by this Fri” might not work if you only have a few customers or have no solid offerings or products that can easily bring in 10k in sales.

Magic is like electricity, it likes to take the path of least resistance (hence why road opening spells are important to open paths for magic to travel and manifest what you want). Setting a goal like “I wish to hit a sales target of 5k by this Fri” might be more feasible and more likely to succeed.

3. Let Go of Expectation

Once you set your intention, let it go and simply go about your day. Don’t fuss or fret about it or try to force the magic to work for you immediately. Magic can manifest almost instantly sometimes but more often than not, it can take time. Magic can also show up in unexpected ways different from what we envision the results might be.

An example would be something like this: You set the expectation for a promotion at work and you’re expecting your manager or boss to come to you with an offer. Instead, an ex-colleague reaches out to you, asking if you’d like to join their company, who will not only give you the job title you want, but will give a much higher pay raise than your current company. In the end, you got what you asked for, just not in the way you might have initially expected it.
